Every year there are more and more reports about the skyrocketing cost of managing garbage and sewage and the problems that municipalities are facing with landfills that are not only full, but overflowing. Organic waste recycling has helped to alleviate these problems in some areas.
Based on a recent report from the Local Government Association in the United Kingdom, Britain as a whole will exhaust landfill space by 2018 unless much more effort is put into increasing recycling rates.
